Summary
In a one-grade interval series, experience at the second lower grade level can be credited when there is no position in the normal line of progression that is one grade lower than the position being filled. One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the second next lower grade (GS-06) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
